Your First Visit

Patient Forms

Upon entering our office, our receptionist will  welcome you as a member of our family.  We will request that you complete our  patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history, stress history, and information about you.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Joyce Schumann to discuss your health-related  concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Joyce Schumann to learn more about you, your health, and  expectations to determine how the specific kind of  care offered at this office can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Joyce Schumann will perform a complete chiropractic examination . Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests may be performed as well. However, nothing  will be done in our office  without your consent.

Report of Findings

Once the information is collected ,examinations are performed, and reviewed, Dr. Joyce Schumann will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

  1. How can you help me?
  2. How often do I need to come in?
  3. What  will  my treatment  cost?

After reviewing your health history,  goals, and examining your spine and test results, Dr. Joyce Schumann will discuss recommendations and notify you if  you need  care with other providers.   Dr. Joyce Schumann  will  provide the best care and  wellness program for your needs.

Receiving your first spinal entrainment.

An entrainment contact is ultra gentle. The doctor will lightly touch your spine anywhere from the base of your skull to the tip of your tailbone. Because the human nervous system is designed to respond to wind or the brush of a feather, the input into your nervous sytem does not have to be intense in order for your body to know something is happening. What is important is that your body is receiving exactly what it needs at exactly the right place, in order to make a change; for the body to self regulate and reorganize . As the body releases tension, you may find yourself breathing more deeply and fully. You may experience slight movements or feel the need to stretch as your body relaxes and repositions itself.  You will notice ease in movement, changes in posture and easier and fuller breath.

Wellness Program

What is wellness? Schumann Center for Well Being utilizes Network Spinal Analysis (Network Care) and Somto Respiratory Integration (SRI). We provide a unique healing and wellness perspective. Unlike the treatment of a disease that may merely alleviate a symptom, Network Care results in what is called "wellness behavior" or an increased "sense of well being." Wellness behavior is the ability to make healthier choices, have more life enjoyment, and be better able to adapt to stress. Most disease is attribultable to lifestyle, environmental factors or habits that negatively affect the body over a lifetime. People under Network Care change these destructive patterns by making healthier choices, having a sense of increased well being, and making dramatic life changes that better support their healing. Network Care helps yor body be made whole and to heal.
